Advance payments ceiling for UK exporters to Morocco
Trade barrier summary
A UK business cannot pay in advance beyond a set amount. When both the UK business exporting and the Moroccan partner agree on partial payment, the Moroccan partner cannot pay more than 30% of the invoice. When the UK business exporting and the Moroccan partner agree on full payment, the invoice cannot exceed 200,000 Moroccan Dirham. The only exception to this rule is to request authorisation from the Moroccan authority, the Exchange Office, to pay more than the ceiling.
