Third party testing required on exported electricals and electronic devices to Saudi Arabia
Trade barrier summary
The Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) in Saudi Arabia changed its Restriction of Hazardous Substances Regulation to include independent testing as part of their product compliance approach for UK exports. This has been lifted and manufacturer self-declaration of conformity is now accepted by SASO. The revised regulation now aligns with those of the UK and the EU.
