Argentina's food code defines ginger beer as containing alcohol
Trade barrier summary
Argentina's food code defines ginger beer as a product containing alcohol. However, the UK ginger beer product does not contain alcohol. Argentina's National Food Commission's (CONAL) rationale is that use of the term 'ginger beer' may be misleading for consumers in the market, and does not accept changing the current definition of ginger beer in the food code. Without approval from CONAL, the product cannot be sold to Argentina.
