Public Procurement law in Colombia requires companies to present certifications of experience in a way that UK multinational companies cannot comply with, considering that the required experience needed to bid for infrastructure public tenders in Colombia, can only be proven by previous contracts undertaken by the UK multinational's Colombian branch or its parent company. In addition, independent Colombian entities established by UK multinationals that have been incorporated for over three years in Colombia, cannot prove the experience of their parent companies anymore.
