Lack of a Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) between Colombia and UK
Trade barrier summary
A Double Taxation Agreement was signed in 2016 and has been in force in Colombia since early 2020. A Double Taxation Agreement is an agreement between two or more countries that reduces the amount of tax that an international worker or company must pay, so they do not have to pay tax twice on the same income. Under the Double Taxation Agreement, any tax paid in the country of residence will be exempt in the country in which it arises.
