UK education institutions successfully appealed against the ban on online teaching or e-learning in June 2020. This followed the lifting of Malaysia's Movement Control Order.
The Ministry of Higher Education gave temporary approval for online teaching at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. It applied to all higher education institutions, including public and private universities.
