Trade barrier summary

In order to meet the requirements of the Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT) scheme, companies must meet the rule of origin requirements. The requirements state that local content must be at least 40% of the Free of Board (FOB) value of the good.

The exporting company must obtain a 'Form D' certification from its national government to attest that the good has met the requirement and present this to the customs authority of the Thai government. UK exporters have reported issues when trying to verify Form D certifications with Thai customs.
